Overview
NVJ Wedding Planner ("the App") is a Google Sheets add-on that helps couples plan their wedding seating arrangements, manage guest lists, and organize table assignments. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.
By using NVJ Wedding Planner, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Information We Access
Google Sheets Data
The App accesses only the Google Spreadsheet it is installed on. Specifically, it reads and writes:
- Guest names, contact information, RSVP status, meal choices, and table assignments entered by you
- Table layout configurations and seating arrangements you create in the Table Designer
- Sheet formatting, structure, and cell values within the active spreadsheet
The App does not access any other files in your Google Drive, your email, contacts, calendar, or any other Google services.
Google Account Information
The App uses your Google Account solely to authenticate your identity and authorize access to the spreadsheet. We do not store, collect, or transmit your Google Account credentials or personal profile information.
How We Use Your Information
All data accessed by NVJ Wedding Planner is used exclusively to provide the features of the App:
- Displaying and managing your guest list within the spreadsheet
- Saving and loading table layouts in the Table Designer
- Syncing seat assignments between the Table Designer and your Guest List
- Generating the Seating Chart and Table Summary tabs
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, machine learning, or any purpose outside of the App's core functionality.
Data Storage
NVJ Wedding Planner stores table layout configurations using Google Apps Script's Document Properties service. This data is:
- Stored exclusively within your Google Spreadsheet's associated document properties
- Never transmitted to any external server or third-party service
- Accessible only to users who have edit access to the spreadsheet
- Deleted permanently when you use the Reset functions within the App
Data Sharing and Disclosure
NVJ Wedding Planner does not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to any third parties. We do not have access to any data you enter into the App — all data stays within your Google account and spreadsheet.
The only parties who can access your data are:
- You — the spreadsheet owner
- Anyone you explicitly share the spreadsheet with via Google's sharing settings
- Google — as the platform provider, subject to Google's own Privacy Policy
Security
NVJ Wedding Planner is designed with security in mind:
- The App only requests the minimum permissions necessary to function
- Sheet protections can be applied to prevent accidental editing of headers and formulas
- No data is stored on external servers — everything stays within Google's infrastructure
- Access is controlled entirely through Google's existing sharing and permission system
Your Rights and Controls
You have full control over your data at all times:
- Reset Table Designer — clears all table layouts while preserving guest data
- Reset Entire Sheet — permanently deletes all data and returns the sheet to a blank state
- Delete the Spreadsheet — permanently removes all associated data
Children's Privacy
NVJ Wedding Planner is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children. The App is intended for use by adults planning wedding events.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
